baltimore oriolesBaltimore Orioles starter Yovani Gallardo got four outs, gave up eight runs, and no, that’s not good.

The New York Yankees jumped out to a big early lead and didn’t let up in a 14-4 win over the O’s on Friday night.

Gallardo (4-6, 5.69 ERA, 1.65 WHIP) was touched up for six hits and a walk in his brief stint.

The loss was the second in a row for Baltimore (70-58), now two games behind Toronto (72-56) and in third place in the AL East.

Don’t look now, but the Yankees (66-61) are five and a half back, and three and a half back of the Orioles for the second AL wild card spot.

Manny Machado (.305/.358/.564, 31 HR, 81 RBI) had two homers and three RBI.
