Zach Neal and four A’s relievers held Baltimore to three hits in a 2-1 A’s win over the O’s on Tuesday.
Neal (2-1, 4.60 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) gave up one run on two hits in five and a third innings, striking out one.
The Orioles (63-49) could only manage three baserunners against the A’s bullpen thereafter. Ryan Madson (24 saves, 3.59 ERA, 1.26 WHIP) closed the game out in the ninth for the save.
Wade Miley (7-10, 4.98 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) lost for the second time as an O since being traded from Seattle, giving up two runs on six hits in six innings, striking out two and walking three.
With Toronto (64-50) also losing on Tuesday, Baltimore continues to be tied atop the AL East standings.
