Dylan Bundy couldn’t take advantage of solid run support, and Baltimore suffered a key pennant chase loss at Tampa Bay, 7-6, on Wednesday.
Bundy (8-5, 3.82 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) got a no-decision after giving up five runs on seven hits in three and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking two.
Mychal Givens (8-2, 3.60 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) took the loss in relief, giving up a run in the seventh on an RBI double by Corey Dickerson, who had two hits and two RBIs on the day.
The loss drops the O’s a game and a half back of Toronto in the AL East. Baltimore still has a one-game lead on Detroit for the second AL wild-card spot.
