Bad news for me, and for everybody else reading this – we didn’t win the $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot.

Somebody in Arkansas, who I assume isn’t reading this, because they’re contacting lawyers and financial managers to help them manage their newfound untold riches, was the lone winner in Wednesday’s drawing.

Yeah, no fair.

There was one million-dollar winner in Virginia, who bought their winning ticket online, using the Virginia Lottery app.

We also had one Virginia winner at the $100,000 level, and two $50,000 winners.

The $100,000 winning ticket was bought at the Wawa at 9235 Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania.

The two $50,000 winning tickets were bought at:

  • 7-Eleven, 2105 Salem Road, Virginia Beach.
  • Chill Stop, 3200 Western Branch Boulevard, Chesapeake.

I won a lousy eight bucks.

This recent bout of Powerball fever generated $33.5 million for K-12 education in Virginia, so, there’s that.
