Augusta Free Press presents Holiday Fashion Showcase

Crystal Graham

The Holiday Fashion Showcase returns to downtown Waynesboro on Saturday for a little bit of Christmas cheer to get you ready for the holiday season.

Held at the Gateway in downtown Waynesboro, the one-day only event offers free admission, holiday shopping, refreshments by Tastefully Simple, festive Christmas music and decorations and giveaways courtesy of participating vendors and sponsor Kathleen Kellett of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate III.

The boutique-style event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 1 in the heart of downtown at 329 West Main Street. The event will feature a collection of the best accessories and fine gifts the area has to offer including handmade scarves and lotions and items from direct sales companies including Cookie Lee, Scentsy, Mary Kay, Miche, Thirty One Gifts and more.

“We have created a virtual storefront for these direct sales businesses to share items for sale with the community as a whole,” said organizer Crystal Graham of Augusta Free Press LLC and Top Rope Promotions. “This emphasizes the shop-local concept,” said Graham.

This is the second year that the event has been put on by AFP in connection with the Wayne Theatre Alliance’s Holiday Home Tour.

“It’s a natural pairing to match the boutique event with the home tour that the Wayne Theatre offers,” said Graham. The Gateway venue is also a ticket outlet for the home tour and will be the starting point for bus transportation to the homes. “It worked well last year to give people a starting point or break from the home tours to enjoy the beauty and ambience of the Gateway and get some Christmas shopping done.”

Just for attending the Holiday Fashion Showcase, people will have the chance to win a two-room home staging courtesy of Kellett perfect to get your house ready for sale or just inspire you to have your current home live up to it’s maximum potential.

Also with any purchase, attendees will get an opportunity to win a gift basket courtesy of participating vendors.

“The weather is going to be beautiful,” said Graham. “I hope everyone takes time to enjoy the fresh air, downtown restaurants and other businesses, the home tour to benefit the Wayne Theatre Alliance, and of course, I hope people will take the time to stop by the Gateway to shop with these really fine vendors and companies.”
