An Augusta County man is facing a felony child abuse charge after an infant was treated at UVA Health for a femur fracture.

Steven Couch, 24, of Stuarts Draft, was arrested today, then released by a magistrate on an unsecured $5,000 bond.

A press release from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office tells us that the arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the ACSO and Child Protective Services.

The investigation remains ongoing.
