Augusta County man wanted for threatening former Waynesboro employer

The Waynesboro Police Department is requesting assistance in locating an Augusta County man who is wanted for threatening his former employer.

Gary Dustin Mawyer, 30 years old and last known residing in Stuarts Draft, is wanted on one felony count of communicating a threat to bomb or burn a structure.  On June 6, 2014, an officer responded to Vector Industries, 1001 Fairfax Avenue, to speak with staff there about Mawyer’s threat.  According to witnesses, Mawyer got mad a coworker and threatened to set fire to her and the building.  Mawyer had been on work-release with Vector Industries since September 2013.

Blue eyes
If anyone has information concerning his whereabouts, please contact the Waynesboro Police Department at (540) 942-6675 or Central Shenandoah Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-2017.  Anyone who calls Crimes Stoppers and gives information that leads to his arrest is eligible for a cash reward.
