A man was stabbed multiple times Sunday night near an apartment complex at the intersection of Myers Corner and Bobby’s Way in Fishersville.

The man, who has not been identified, was transported to Augusta Health with life-threatening injuries. He was later flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center by Air Care 5.

A 17-year-old juvenile from Staunton was arrested on scene. The teen boy is being held at the Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Detention Center.

The teen has been charged with felonious assault and attempted second degree murder.

Deputies from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at approximately 6:45 p.m. The male victim had multiple stab wounds, according to the ACSO.

Sheriff Donald Smith said “this was an isolated incident between these two neighbors.”

An investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to contact the ACSO at (540) 245-5333.
