Augusta County: Board of Zoning Appeals sets public hearing schedule for March 5

The Augusta County Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct public Hearings during its regular meeting on Thursday, March 5, at 1:30 p.m., at the Augusta County Government Center in Verona.

The board will consider the following requests:

  • A request by Keenan Lee Danehey for a Special Use Permit to have a short term rental within an existing structure on property he owns located at 445 Coleytown Road, Waynesboro, in the Middle River District.
  • A request by Jeff and Amanda Buchanan for a Special Use Permit to have retail sales of farm related products within an existing farm building on property owned by Kay G. Buchanan (Life) located at 821 and 879 Dutch Hollow Road, Middlebrook in the Riverheads District.
  • A request by Nathaniel and Bobbie Phillips for a Special Use Permit to have a short-term rental within the existing dwelling on property they own located at 1122 Westview School Road, Weyers Cave in the Middle River District.
  • A request by Jacob O. Peters for a Special Use Permit to have a dwelling less than 900 square feet to be used for short-term rental on property owned by Jacob O. Peters, Trustee located at 77 Clay Hill Church Lane, West Augusta in the Pastures District.
  • A request by Jacob O. Peters for a Special Use Permit to have a short-term rental within an existing dwelling on property he owns located at 1079 Deerfield Valley Road, West Augusta in the Pastures District.
  • A request by Robin Cash for a Special Use Permit to enclose an existing carport and to convert the existing dwelling into office space for a financial service business on property owned by Robin A. and Wesley L. Cash located at 24 Three C Lane, Fishersville in the Beverley Manor District.
  • A request by Terry M. and Sheila K. Pleskonko for a Special Use Permit to have a short-term rental on property they own located at 82 New Hope and Crimora Road, Waynesboro in the Middle River District.
  • A request by Dylan W. Bennett for a Special Use Permit to construct an accessory building exceeding the 900 square foot total aggregate allowed on property he owns located at 245 Old Laurel Hill Road, Verona in the Beverley Manor District.
  • A request by Kimberly Baze, agent for Shields Self Storage LLC, for a Special Use Permit to have outdoor storage of boats, campers and RVs, vehicles and utility trailers on property owned by Shields Self Storage LLC located at 120 Parkview Drive, Waynesboro in the Wayne District.
  • A request by Jeremiah Cash for a Special Use Permit to construct a building for storage and maintenance of excavating equipment and to have outdoor storage of commercial vehicles and attachments on property owned by William L. and Charlotte F. Cash located at 4801 Lee Jackson Highway, Raphine in the Riverheads District.
  • A request by Zachary Seastrom for a Special Use Permit to have a landscape business, a sawmill to process logs, construct two (2) buildings for storage of business materials and to have outdoor storage of commercial vehicles and equipment and to use a shipping container for business storage on property owned by Don E. and Phyllis A. Morris located on the north side of Harriston Road, east of Breezy Hill Lane, in the Middle River District.

Data and information regarding the above matters are available for inspection and review in the Community Development Department in the Augusta County Government Center, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
