Albemarle County: Two arrested in investigation into solicitation of minors

Albemarle County Police have made two arrests in an ongoing investigation into the solicitation of minors.

During a three-day operation, officers engaged with 30 individuals across multiple platforms.

The two active arrests:

  • Amanullah Ahmedzay, 20, of Charlottesville, on one felony count of use of a computer for sexual offense with a minor.
  • Daniel W. Baer, 32, of Crozet, on one felony count of indecent liberties with a child under the age of 15 and one felony count of use of a computer for sexual offense with a minor.

Both men are being held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.
