Albemarle County Police: One dead in apparent gang-related shooting

One person is dead, and a second is in the hospital, after an apparent gang-related shooting in Albemarle County on Saturday night.

Zerrion Eubanks-Warfield, 23, of Charlottesville, was found dead at the scene of the shooting on the 1600 block of Rio Hill Drive at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

There were reports of multiple gunshots, with several vehicles and apartments struck, according to police.

There remains an increased police presence in the area as the Albemarle County Police Department continues its active investigation.
