Albemarle County Police investigating New Year’s Day shooting on Upper Brooks Court

Albemarle County Police are seeking information on a shooting that took place just after midnight on New Year’s Day.

A 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in the 12:26 a.m. Wednesday shooting in the 900 block of Upper Brook Court, according to the ACPD.

The victim was transported to UVA Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
