Albemarle County | Police find two bodies with gunshot wounds while conducting welfare check

Two individuals were found dead with gunshot wounds in southern Albemarle County on Wednesday, and a suspicious death investigation is under way.

The Albemarle County Police Department discovered the bodies of Dennis Miller, 77, and Frances Hooper-Miller, 76, at their home in the 5500 block of Windward Cove Road in the Covesville community.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were performing a welfare check at the residence.

Detectives believe this was an isolated incident.
