A Lynchburg man is dead following a motorcycle crash Friday afternoon in Albemarle County.
James Tennant, 83, died at the scene.
The motorcycle crash occurred at approximately 2:04 p.m. on northbound Monacan Trail Road in the community of Covesville.
The Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene in the area of Covesville Lane where first responders located the single-vehicle crash scene and deceased man.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Albemarle County Police Department’s crash reconstruction team.
