The sexual assault investigation of a man who offered babysitting and music lessons in the Crozet area continues, and police believe there are more victims.

Maxwell H. Mandell, 24, was arrested Dec. 5. He is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

Investigators have evidence to suggest that there are additional victims outside of Albemarle County including Blacksburg, where he previously resided.

Mandell has been charged with two felonies for the alleged assault of a child while he was providing babysitting services: aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child.

The Albemarle County Police Department encourages anyone who hired or had contact with Mandell in a professional capacity at any time, with particular interest in interactions that occurred within the past three years, to contact Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000.
