An Albemarle County man who offered babysitting services and music lessons has been arrested after the alleged assault of a child.
Maxwell H. Mandell, 24, of Crozet, was arrested on Friday.
He has been charged with:
- Felony aggravated sexual battery (§18.2-67.3)
- Felony indecent liberties with a child (§18.2-370.1)
The investigation began Thursday after a report that a child had been assaulted the previous day while in the care of a babysitter, Mandell.
He is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
Due to Mandell offering babysitting services and music lessons, investigators believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Figueroa with the Albemarle County Police Department’s criminal investigations division at (434) 296-5807.
