Albemarle County announced Wednesday the appointment of David Benish as acting director of planning for the Community Development Department following the resignation of Andrew Gast-Bray, effective May 1, 2019.
“We wish Andrew well in his future endeavors,” shared Mark Graham, director of community development.
Benish is the current chief of planning and has served Albemarle County since 1985, with experience in long-range, regional, and transportation planning, as well as development review.
“I am proud to serve the community, the Planning Commission, and the department in this role over the next several months,” said Benish.
