Sunday night, I’m walking the dog, a little earlier than usual, actually. Don’t usually get out for the final walk of the night until around midnight, but the wife was scheduled for minor toe surgery the next morning, so we’d shut things down around 10:30 or so.

I don’t know. Part of me thinks she was hoping there were keys in there, but then she’d left her purse on my front porch, back where I was standing. Part of me thinks she was just looking for money or anything of value.
