#16 UVA baseball hosts JMU on Wednesday

The Virginia baseball team takes on James Madison at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Davenport Field. Ranked as high as No. 14 nationally, the Cavaliers (19-12) are beginning an important stretch of 15 games in the next 21 days heading into the finals break.

Tickets/Gates
Gates open one hour prior to each game. Fans may purchase tickets by logging on to VirginiaSports.com, calling (800) 542-UVA1 or by visiting the ticket office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the Davenport Field ticket windows beginning one hour prior to each home game.

Virginia-JMU Series
This is the lone meeting between the schools this season. Virginia leads its all-time series with James Madison, 39-25-1, after taking both games last season. UVa defeated JMU 13-2 in the first contest in Charlottesville and 9-3 in the second in Harrisonburg.

Noting JMU
The Dukes are 12-17, including a 2-7 mark in the CAA, after taking two of three games last weekend in their series with Delaware. JMU is batting .263 as a team, led by Ky Parrott at .345 and reigning CAA Rookie of the Week Kyle McPherson at .318. JMU’s pitching staff owns a 6.18 ERA.

Up Next
Virginia heads to Atlanta this weekend for a three-game ACC series with Georgia Tech. The series consists of games at 7 p.m. Friday, 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Each game will be broadcast online by ESPN3.
