VCU holds a 15-11 record and is 2-1 in Atlantic 10 play after taking two of three games from Massachusetts last weekend at The Diamond. VCU’s pitching has been excellent as the Rams own a 2.84 team ERA while limiting opponents to a .220 batting average.

Virginia-VMI Series
Virginia holds a 102-30 lead in its all-time series with VMI. Last year the Keydets won in Charlottesville for the first time since 1990, scoring a 3-2 victory over the Cavaliers. It was one of just four home losses that UVa suffered in 2014.

Virginia remains home this weekend as it plays host to No. 7 Louisville in the first-ever meetings between the programs, both of which reached the College World Series last season. The teams play at 4 p.m. Saturday, 1 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday. The Monday contest will be broadcast by ESPNU.
