Effective Aug. 3, 2009, South River Restaurant & Wine Shop in Waynesboro will be smoke-free in both the restaurant and the lounge. South River’s decision to go smoke-free is in response to customer requests.

“South River is a community gathering place and hospitality is our top priority. We’re excited to listen to our customers,” said South River Restaurant & Wine Shop owner Linda Roland.

“We believe that our customers who smoke will respect this decision. At South River, we’ve always been conscientious about the healthful nature of our food preparation. Now, we want to carry our healthy approach through to every aspect of our restaurant and lounge,” Roland added.

South River Restaurant & Wine Shop is a locally-owned restaurant and lounge located at 23 Windigrove Drive in Waynesboro. South River offers exciting lunch and dinner menus, an award winning wine shop, free weekly wine tastings, monthly wine dinners, and weekly live entertainment.
