Interview: It sure sounds like Daniel Bryan is main-eventing WrestleMania

Chris Graham

daniel bryanDaniel Bryan, in an interview with the Times-Picayune in New Orleans, sure sounds like a guy who is in the main event at WrestleMania, even though officially he isn’t there yet.

“Everybody who has ever laced up a pair of boots and wanted to be a wrestler, that’s what you’re dreaming about. For me, that’s the highest aspiration I have in wrestling. I want to main event WrestleMania. When I was doing radio interviews three years ago and I was low on the card, the pre-show of WrestleMania, but whenever anybody would ask me what is your goal as for as wrestling, my goal is to main event WrestleMania,” Bryan said.

Remember that the official line from WWE is that Bryan has to defeat Triple H earlier in the WrestleMania show to make it to the main event, a triple-threat match with WWE champion Randy Orton and top challenger Batista.

Then consider that Bryan told the Times-Picayune that his mother will travel from his hometown, Aberdeen, Wash., and his sister will be traveling from Pennsylvania to see him wrestle in person for the first time in his career.

Think they’re coming all that way to see Bryan lose mid-card?
