The 25th annual Virginia State Foosball Championships will be held in Downtown Staunton next month – and the table-soccer action will raise money for a good cause.

The championships will again serve as a fundraiser for The AMC Hospice of the Shenandoah. Since 2004, the foosball championships have raised more than $8,000 for the Hospice, a residential-style four-bedroom home that provides specialized end-of-life care for people who are unable to remain in their homes.

The foosball part of the event is done in conjunction with the seventh annual Thunder in the Mountains Foosball Spectacular.

The action is set for July 18-20 at Byers Street Bistro in Staunton.
