The Fight Against Elder Abuse: Lessons Learned

Contributors

The Greater Augusta Coalition Against Adult Abuse is sponsoring a one-day training, The Fight Against Elder Abuse: Lessons Learned, on, Thursday April 23, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Randy Krantz, JD MA RN, Amherst County Commonwealth Attorney, will give the keynote.  Randy’s presentation at the 2014 Virginia Coalition for the Prevention of Elder Abuse conference was very well-received.

There will also be a viewing of a video about supporting elderly victims of physical abuse, plus a presentation by Western Union highlighting their prevention efforts.  There is no charge but a donation of $10 to cover lunch cost is suggested.

This event is sponsored by the Greater Augusta Coalition Against Adult Abuse, the ElderAlliance, Inc. and Blue Ridge Community College.

Please share this with anyone interested and, especially, any contacts you may have with local law enforcement and commonwealth attorney offices.
