JMU football hosts Towson on Saturday

jmu logoJMU returns home to the friendly confines of Bridgeforth Stadium to host 2013 national runner-up Towson, Oct. 11.  The Dukes will have an open Saturday (Oct. 18) before going on the road to take on Charlotte,Oct. 25.

The Coaches: James Madison head coach Everett Withers (Appalachian State, ’86) is in his first season at JMU with a 3-3 mark and second as a head coach overall with a 10-9 record. Towson head coach Rob Ambrose (Towson, ’93) is in his sixth season with the Tigers with a 34-33 record and is 37-40 overall as a head coach in his seventh year.

History With Towson: This is the 26th meeting between JMU and Towson, with the Dukes holding a commanding 18-6-1 advantage, including winning the last eight and 11 of 12 overall in Harrisonburg. Madison has won eight of the last nine against the Tigers, but dropped last year’s season finale at Towson, 28-17.
