Making its first NCAA Super Regional appearance, Maryland (39-21) swept through the NCAA Columbia Regional, earning a walk-off victory over Old Dominion before winning a pair of games against the host, South Carolina.

The winner of the super regional will advance to the College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. UVa has made a pair of CWS appearances (2009 and 2011).
