Interesting discussion between Jim Ross and Shawn Michaels on the latest Ross Report about The Undertaker and the end of The Streak – shedding new light on how long WWE was planning to have Brock Lesnar end The Streak at WrestleMania 30.
According to Michaels, the decision to end The Streak was made just four hours before the start of WrestleMania 30, meaning about 2 p.m. local time in New Orleans, where the live show started at 6 p.m.
Other reports have had Vince McMahon talking with Undertaker days ahead of the match to reveal to him his desire to see ‘Taker lose at ‘Mania to end The Streak.
The report from Michaels would suggest that the decision was much more spur of the moment, which would fall in line with what else we know about WWE creative and its multiple drafts of shows that are often being edited right up to the start of a live show.
