Director of Planet Forward Project to speak at Bridgewater College on Earth Day

bridgewaterDan Reed, director of the Planet Forward project at The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs, will speak at Bridgewater College’s earth day convocation on Tuesday, April 22, in Cole Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Reed, a 2008 alumnus of Bridgewater, will speak on “Feeding 9 Billion: How Media, Technology and Young People will Move the Planet Forward.”

Planet Forward engages college students and innovators on the planet’s biggest challenges through media, research, teaching and special events.

Reed earned a master’s degree in legislative affairs from The George Washington University.

Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded in 1880, it was the state’s first private, coeducational college. Today, Bridgewater College is home to approximately 1,800 undergraduate students.
