Cellular Sales to expand workforce in Virginia

AFP

economic-forecast-headerCellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer, is announcing its plans to greatly expand its workforce in Virginia this year.

The company, which has approximately 560 stores nationwide, currently operates 28 stores located across Virginia, including Northern Virginia, Richmond and the Hampton Roads area. It employs approximately 170 people in the state, and it is looking to increase that number by 75 in 2014.

Cellular Sales has been adding several new products over the past few years that extend beyond mobile phones,” Jay Vaiksnoras, Cellular Sales’ regional director for Virginia, said. “Now that we’re selling home-phone service, Internet, DirecTV and cable TV, we need more staff to be able to accommodate our customers in educating them about these different options available to them.”

The company places a large emphasis on customer service, and Cellular Sales focuses on a slow sales process to make sure customers are well educated about the products prior to purchasing.

“With all these new products in our stores, we’re going to need more sales representatives so that we can ensure we are upholding the customer service standards that make Cellular Sales great,” Vaiksnoras said. “Increasing the number of sales reps in our Virginia stores will allow us to provide all of these new products without sacrificing the customer service people have come to expect.”

Those interested in applying for jobs with Cellular Sales can submit an application online at Cellular Sales’ employment page or they can contact Cellular Sales Virginia Market Recruiter Kelly Hanson at[email protected].

“We’re looking for honest, customer-focused, motivated, personally responsible people,” Vaisknoras said. “This is a full-time position that is very rewarding to those who take the time to build relationships with their customers to keep them coming back.”
