Winter Storm Warning in effect in Shenandoah Valley on Sunday

snow-plow-headerThe National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning with the possibility of 6-12 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday morning.

The warning is in effect for Augusta County, Staunton, Waynesboro and much of the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday and running through 2 p.m. Monday.

The precipitation is expected to start off as rain or a rain and snow mix Sunday afternoon, with the mix changing to all snow after sunset Sunday night.
