Cuccinelli receives NFIB endorsement

AFP

cuccinelli-header2Ken Cuccinelli today overwhelmingly won the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), America’s top association for small business advocacy. An endorsement by NFIB requires a threshold of support by membership with more than 70 percent of the returned ballots. This comes on the heels of the Northern Virginia Technology Council TechPAC’s endorsement of Cuccinelli.

“I’d like to thank NFIB for their support in my bid for Governor,” said Ken Cuccinelli. “I’ve spent years traveling Virginia and meeting with small business owners, hearing about their battles with an overbearing government and regulations that stifle economic growth. As Governor, I will lower the income tax rate to help businesses keep the money they earn so they can reinvest in their operations and grow jobs, and continue to fight the unnecessary and harmful regulations coming out of Washington. I look forward to working closely with the small business community to make Virginia the number one place to do business, once again.”

This announcement follows the endorsements of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) TechPAC, Police Benevolent Association, and the Farm Bureau AgPAC.

Cuccinelli’s growing number of endorsements from industries that represent a wide-range of Virginia’s economy stem from his pro-growth, pro-business economic plan, as well as support for his other policy ideas including training Virginians with technical skills that match our economy, incorporating veterans into our workforce, and K-12 and higher education plans that give every Virginian an opportunity to receive a quality education.

NFIB/Virginia represents about 5,500 small businesses across the Commonwealth.
