JMU grabbed an early lead with three consecutive RBI doubles in the second inning.  However, William and Mary has scored 11 runs in the third inning and is still batting with a runner on third base and two outs.

The losing team will stick around to play again at approximately 11 a.m. against No. 5 Northeastern in an elimination game to complete the games originally scheduled for Thursday.  The Huskies rallied with four runs in the bottom of the ninth to eliminate Delaware 7-6 in game three of the tournament earlier Thursday. The day began with JMU handing Delaware its first loss, 9-6, in the resumption of a game suspended from Wednesday afternoon.

Friday action will continue with the winner’s bracket game seven at 2:30 p.m. as No. 4 Towson meets the JMU/W&M winner.  The Tigers defeated No. 1 UNCW 13-11 on Thursday, sending UNCW to a 6 p.m. elimination game eight against the winner of the 11 a.m. game.

Game nine of the championship between the game seven loser and the game eight winner is tentatively set for 9:30 p.m.  However, by CAA rules a team will not be allowed to play a third complete game in a single day, a scenario which will depend upon tournament results.

Ticket Information

Fans with tickets from Thursday can receive Friday admission with their ticket stubs until first pitch of the day’s second game, which is Northeastern against the losing team between JMU and W&M. Fans can also purchase an all-day ticket beginning when gates open at 8 a.m., which will be good for the day’s full slate of games. Any fans who leave the complex with a day two ticket and return following first pitch of the second game will be required to purchase a day three ticket.
