Investigation: Waynesboro man arrested in Frye Street child pornography case

A former Waynesboro resident has been arrested following a lengthy investigation into the alleged possession and distribution of child pornography.

Norman Ralph Goodman III, 35, was taken into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service in Augusta County on Wednesday.

He is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail.

According to police, Goodman was arrested on 25 child porn felony charges connected to the Frye Street area of Waynesboro. Online court records list the offense date as Oct. 6, 2025.

The charges include:

  • Possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child pornography (one felony count)
  • Possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child pornography; second or subsequent offense (24 felony counts)

The investigation began on Dec. 3 when the Waynesboro Police Department received a cyber tip reporting the alleged activity.
