North Garden: Crash victim identified as 31-year-old Charlottesville man

The Albemarle County Police Department has released the name of the victim in Monday’s crash in North Garden.

Cole R. Peale-Grody, 31, of Charlottesville, died at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the ACPD’s crash reconstruction team.

Peale-Grody was ejected from the vehicle in the 11:38 a.m. accident.

A passenger was transported to UVA Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened on Monacan Trail Road in the area of Rural Ridge Lane, according to police.
