Albemarle County: One dead after single-vehicle crash in North Garden

One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in North Garden on Monday at 11:38 a.m.

The identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene after the person was ejected from the vehicle.

A passenger was transported to UVA Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Albemarle County Police Department.

The accident happened on Monacan Trail Road in the area of Rural Ridge Lane.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the ACPD’s crash reconstruction team.
