According to Virginia State Police, Sosa’s Volkswagen Passat was heading south on 340, near the intersection with Newport Road, when her vehicle crossed the center line.

Her Passat struck Hutton’s Hyundai Elantra head on, according to VSP.

The accident remains under investigation.

According to Hutton’s obituary, she was a graduate and standout softball player at Page County High School who helped lead the softball team to back-to-back state championships, in 2014 and 2015.
