The stage at The Foundry at Basic City Beer Co. is set to include a number of headliners and tribute bands this fall as it celebrates RocktoberFest.
The lineup, running Oct. 3 through Nov. 9, includes Buckcherry, Tonic, Jackyl and Sebastian Bach, among others. The festival-style series aims to bring together legends, tributes and rising stars to the 1,000-person music venue in Waynesboro.
The Shenandoah Valley watering hole sold out a performance by Everclear in May giving organizers confidence to move forward booking more nostalgia-inspired bands. They followed up on the success of Everclear by booking Sister Hazel, a ‘90s Southern rock band, in July.

“There’s something about these bands – Everclear, Tonic, Sister Hazel – all these bands. We know that the public knows them and remembers the video in their head too,” said Bart Lanman, owner of The Foundry and Basic City Beer Co.

- Oct. 24 – Thunderstruck: America’s AC/DC Tribute
- Oct. 25 – Monsters of Rock Halloween with Wahookies & The Rewind Experience
- Oct. 30 – Big Something (Halloween show)
- Nov. 08 – Sebastian Bach (original voice of Skid Row)
- Nov. 09 – Black Stone Cherry with Them Dirty Roses & Ayron Jones
RocktoberFest is designed to be a bucket-list month of live music you won’t find anywhere else in the region, according to organizers.
“We’re raw. We’re edgy. We want to be a legacy venue. I want people to talk about The Foundry,” said John “Hojo” Howard, operations manager.
The Foundry at Basic City Beer Co. is located at 1010 E. Main St. in Waynesboro.
