Field Hockey: UVA picked third in ACC preseason, two ‘Hoos named All-ACC

UVA Field Hockey, coming off a 14-5 finish in 2024, was picked third in the ACC Coaches Preseason Poll this week.

Junior midfielder Mia Abello (five goal, three game-winning goals, in 2024) and grad-student midfielder Suze Leemans (seven goals, two game-winning goals, in 2024) were named to the Preseason All-ACC team.

Virginia opens the season on Friday, Aug. 29 vs Penn State at 5 p.m. at Turf Field.
