An investigation into a prostitution operation in Lynchburg has led to the arrest of an alleged pimp in North Carolina.

The sex trafficking investigation, which began in June of 2024, focused on activities occurring in the 700 block of Leesville Road in Lynchburg.

Thomas Lee Thomas II, 58, a resident of Thomasville, N.C., was charged with several serious offenses related to sex trafficking.

Thomas is currently awaiting extradition back to Virginia to face the following charges:

  • Receiving money from the earnings of male or female prostitutes
  • Commercial sex trafficking
  • Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking
  • Keeping, residing in or visiting a bawdy place for immoral purposes
  • Receiving money for procuring or placing a person at a location for the purpose of sex trafficking

The Lynchburg Police Department and Virginia State Police human trafficking unit conducted the “Operation White Rabbit” operation aimed at dismantling the sex trafficking network in the region.

On Thursday, LPD and VSP executed search warrants in both the City of Lynchburg and Thomasville, N.C.

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in Lexington, N.C., and Freedom424 assisted in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Detective Davis with the Lynchburg Police Department at (434) 455-6166 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900.
