A man is in custody after threatening a Loudoun County Public Defender’s Office employee on Monday.

Leesburg Police arrested Riley Biro, 22, charging him with one count each of felony burglary with intent to commit murder and felony destruction of property.

The LPD received a report at 1:10 p.m. that Biro forcibly entered the secured main office door of the Loudoun County Public Defender’s Office and was reportedly looking for a specific employee, and was making verbal threats that he was there to harm the employee.

Unable to locate the employee, Biro left the office prior to officers’ arrival.

After leaving the Public Defender’s Office, Biro entered the Loudoun County District Courthouse at 2 Church Street NE in Leesburg and was detained by Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies until LPD officers arrived.

Biro was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he remains held on no bond.

The incident remains under investigation.
