The Charlottesville Police Department is asking for help locating suspects in a shooting on Tuesday at Holly’s Diner on East Market Street.

At 11:22 p.m., CPD officers responded to the restaurant at 1221 E. Market St. in response to possible gunfire.

The initial investigation indicates that a ruckus inside the establishment led to the shooting outside.

One person was shot and is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, a 30-year-old man was shot in the leg.

CPD initially said it believed that the suspect(s) were known to the victim.

CPD detectives have continued their investigation into this incident and are seeking to identify the persons of interest in just-released photos. Police are also looking to identify the owner of a mid-2000s Honda Accord.

If you have any information related to this incident, call the Crime Stoppers tip line at (434) 977-4000.
