Staunton: Street paving projects begin April 1

staunton newStreets around Staunton will be closed intermittently for repaving over the next three weeks. See the list of streets scheduled for repaving and be prepared for detours.

The following streets will be repaved, causing some delays and road closures:

  • Alleghany Avenue from Thornrose Avenue to Fillmore Street
  • Cherry Street from West Beverley Street to Noon Street
  • Chestnut Street from Cherry Street to dead end
  • Croyden Lane from West Beverley Street to dead end
  • Donaghe Street from Springhill Road to Lambert Street
  • Frontier Drive from Staunton city limits to Sheetz
  • Glen Avenue from Springhill Road to Donaghe Street
  • Hillcrest Drive
  • Middlebrook Avenue from Lacy B King Way to Hampton Street
  • Morrison Street from Woodmont Drive to Tivoli Lane
  • New Hope Road from Commerce Road to Statler Boulevard
  • Noon Street from Cherry Street to Mulberry Street
  • Richmond Avenue from Walmart to Staunton city limits
  • Shutterlee Mill Road from Englewood Drive to Churchville Avenue
  • Springhill Road – patchwork at Skymont Road
  • Statler Boulevard (eastbound and westbound) from Richmond Avenue to Coalter Street
  • West Beverley Street from Jefferson Street to Montgomery Avenue
  • West Liberty Street from Perry Street to Robertson Street
  • Westside Drive from Croyden Lane to dead end
  • Willoughby Lane from Rainbow Drive to Victoria Drive

Details

Motorists should use alternate routes and expect delays, detours and minor interruptions. The exact date, time and sequence of work are unknown, and timing is subject to change as a result of inclement weather conditions and operational delays. Motorists are also encouraged to allow extra travel time for these routes and to be mindful of workers.
