The Department of Elections announces that Omar Cortés, John Hurt, William “Campbell” Kreye, Catherine “Cate” Mancano and Shea McHenry will serve as pages for the Electoral College on December 19, 2016.
The duties of a page for the Electoral College include acting as an usher, assisting electors in signing of documents and delivery of correspondence within the Senate Chamber.

Omar Edgardo Cortés is almost 6 years old and attends Kindergarten in Fairfax County Public Schools. His favorite classes are computers and art. Omar enjoys playing Pokémon, riding his bike, and drawing. Omar is a green belt in Taekwondo.
John Sydnor Hurt is a 7th grader at Chatham Middle School in Pittsylvania County, where he is in the Gifted Program, Honor Roll and Junior Beta Club. He enjoys playing basketball, baseball, and guitar. During the summer, John sells newspapers for the local weekly paper, The Star-Tribune. John is the youngest son of Robert and Kathy Hurt of Chatham, Virginia, and he has two brothers.
William “Campbell” Kreye is the son of Charlie and Jessica Kreye of Hanover County, Virginia. Campbell is a 6th Grader at Stonewall Jackson Middle School in Mechanicsville, where his favorite subjects are math and science. In his spare time, Campbell enjoys Taekwondo (currently a red belt), playing soccer, spending time with his family and helping his Grandfather and Father run their family beef cattle farm.
Catherine “Cate” Mancano is the daughter of Elizabeth and Vince Mancano of Henrico County, Virginia. Cate is a sophomore at Henrico High School where she enjoys studying history and civics. She is part of the school’s Center for the Arts and specializes in ballet and modern dance. In her spare time, Cate performs with the Concert Ballet of Virginia.
Shea McHenry resides in Leesburg, Virginia with her parents and three siblings. Shea is a senior at Loudoun County High School and has been inducted into the National Honors Society and Mu Alpha Theta. Shea is the President of Loudoun County Jack & Jill Teens and is a member of Model United Nations, Student Counsel and Young Democrats. In her spare time, Shea enjoys reading, Track and Field, Lacrosse and Gymnastics.
