UVaHelmet_1The rumor mill had UVA linebacker Max Valles leaving school for the NFL Draft. He’s not; but teammate Eli Harold is.

“To all UVA fans, my family and my close friends and teammates, it’s been a great ride. I have decided to enter the NFL Draft,” tweeted Harold, a 6’4”, 250-pound defensive end who recorded a team-high 14.5 tackles for loss in 2014, along with seven sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.

Valles, a redshirt junior, led Virginia with nine sacks and also had 12.5 tackles for loss, an interception, a fumble recovery, three forced fumbles and four quarterback hurries.

Valles addressed his status on Twitter.

“I don’t know where everyone is hearing it from, but I did not declare for the NFL Draft. I’m staying at UVA,” Valles tweeted.
