After losing four games due to weather in the last week, the James Madison baseball team has added a pair of home contests for the beginning of next week, as the Dukes will now play host to VMI on Sunday andMonday afternoon, Feb. 22-23.
JMU will welcome the Keydets to Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon before wrapping the two-game series with a 3 p.m. contest on Monday. The contests will be the Dukes’ first at home after opening the season 2-1 in Boiling Springs, N.C., last weekend.
VMI has also started 2-1 in 2015, taking two of three from North Florida last weekend in Jacksonville, Fla. The Keydets were schedule to play William & Mary in a midweek bout on Tuesday and host Buffalo and Maryland-Eastern Shore in a tournament this weekend, but all five contests were called off due to weather.
JMU holds a 46-11 advantage in the all-time series against VMI, but things have been much more even as of late with each team winning five of the last 10 contests.
