Curb your enthusiasm: UVA football season tickets on sale March 2

UVaHelmet_1Season tickets for Virginia’s 2015 seven-game home schedule will be on sale for renewals and new buyers beginning Monday, March 2. The priority ordering deadline is Thursday, April 30.

After opening the season at UCLA, the Cavaliers will play their first home game on Sept. 12 against Notre Dame. It will mark the first time the Fighting Irish play at Scott Stadium.

UVa’s home schedule includes dates against William & Mary (Sept. 19), Boise State (Friday, Sept. 25), Syracuse (Oct. 17), Georgia Tech (Oct. 31), Duke (Nov. 21) and Virginia Tech (Nov. 28).

The game against Syracuse is the annual Homecomings contest. Kickoff times will be announced at a later date.

Virginia returns 43 total lettermen,including six starters on offense, five starters on defense and its placekicker, for the 2015 season. The Cavaliers return four All-ACC honorees: safety Quin Blanding, cornerback Maurice Canady, kicker Ian Frye and defensive tackle David Dean.

Season tickets are offered at four price levels based on seating location at Scott Stadium: $325, $284, $230 and $190. UVa faculty and staff and Young Alumni (UVa graduates from 2011-15) may purchase up to four season tickets at a 20 percent discount. A payment planoption is available for all four price levels that spreads out payments for up to three months.

Lower and upper level sideline season tickets are available for $325 plus an annual donation to the Virginia Athletics Foundation. The donation for some seat locations in those areas is $50 per seat.

Lower level end zone season tickets are available for $284 while upper level end zone season tickets are priced at $230 and $190 for all seven home games. A donation is not required to purchase season tickets in these areas.

Additional season ticket holders benefits include discounted pricing compared to the single-game ticket price, preferred seating location options within each price level and the ability to purchase reserved parking for the season.

Renewal applications will be mailed next week to all 2014 Virginia football season ticket holders.

 

Spring Practice and Orange-Blue Spring Game

Fans have two opportunities to watch the team during spring practice. Virginia’s practice on Saturday, March 21will be open to the public. The practice is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at Scott Stadium. Admission and parking are free.

The Cavaliers will hold their annualOrange-Blue spring football game on Saturday, April 18 at Scott Stadium. The game will start at 6 p.m. Admission and parking are also free for the spring game. Gates will open at 4 p.m.with interactive games on the field and in the pergola plaza above the north end zone as part of the athletic department’s annual Shoot-Out for Cancer event. The athletics department’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Student-Athlete Mentors sponsor the event benefiting the University of Virginia Cancer Center for research on blood related cancer therapies. This year marks the 22nd time the activity has been held.
