Wake (13-18) led most of the first half and went into the halftime break with a 35-30 advantage. Maryland (21-11) scored on its first four possessions of the second half to get momentum, and pulled away after an Alex Len dunk at the 7:19 mark broke a 54-54 tie.
The Demon Deacons went more than eight minutes without a field goal in the stretch, which saw Maryland build as much as a 15-point lead.
Dez Wells led five Maryland players in double figures with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
C.J. Harris had 19 points for Wake Forest, but scored just two points on 0-of-4 shooting from the field in the second half.
