The University of Virginia and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello have presented the 2016 Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medals.
This morning, Governor Terry McAuliffe spoke at the 53rd annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony at Monticello, welcoming nearly 80 new Americans, who took the oath of citizenship during the event.
The Charlottesville and Albemarle Voter Registration Offices, in cooperation with the Charlottesville-Albemarle League of Women Voters, will conduct a voter registration drive at Monticello on July 4 from 7 a.m. until noon.
The wines of the Monticello Wine Trail again turned in a stellar performance in the 2015 Virginia Governor’s Cup competition.

And as you might know, the visit was marred by a string of interruptions from protestors who disrupted what was supposed to be a ceremony celebrating America’s newest citizens on our nation’s 232nd birthday.
