Almost 300 voting delegates representing 88 county Farm Bureaus statewide will gather next month to help shape Virginia Farm Bureau Federation’s state and federal policies for the coming year. The final Quinnipiac University poll of the 2013 election season has Democrat Terry McAuliffe with a six-point lead over Republican Ken Cuccinelli in the Virginia governor race. McAuliffe gets 46 percent in the latest poll, with Cuccinelli at 40 percent and Libertarian Robert Sarvis at 8 percent.

ACLU of Virginia Election Day hotline to help voters with problems at polls

The American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia will offer an election hotline to answer questions from voters who encounter problems at the polls on Election Day. Most problems at the polls arise from a combination of voters not knowing their rights and poll workers not being sufficiently informed about election law.
