JMU baseball gets big win, qualifies for CAA Tournament

Senior Johnny Bladel (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) worked a career-high 7 2/3 innings and James Madison pounded 14 hits to defeat Delaware 11-6 while also getting the help it needed to earn a spot for JMU in the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Championship on the final day of the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Bob Hannah Stadium.

JMU baseball wins home finale over Liberty, 13-4

Freshman starter J.T. Root (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) tossed five scoreless innings while junior Tyler Gregory (Dothan, Ala./Houston Academy) and senior Casey Goss (Springfield, Mo./Glenville) each homered with a combined nine RBIs as James Madison topped Liberty 13-4 in its final regular season home game at Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park on Tuesday.
